$jammie the Money
I've never heard of $jammie the Money or his band Nobody Beats The Drum but after a listen to his The Money Get Paid EP he's definitely a guy to keep an eye on for the future. His sound is like a fusion of jacking beats with electronic and fidgit samples, kind of like if you put Siriusmo and Trevor Loveys in a blender. The EP is out now on Basserk Records who have kindly shared my favorite track on the EP Get Paid which you can download below. This Saturday the Skanks! team take over Dex Club in Brixton for 18 hours of musical madness also featuring BBQ, jacuzzis, DJ's, live acts, Live art, Prize giveaways and maybe a raffle. So, I found out this morning that my blog has been shortlisted in the final 15 of the Dazed Raw Blog Awards in the 'music' category. To be quite honest I didn't think I'd even get close to the top along with such blog big guns as Discobelle, Trash Menagerie, Discodust, 20JazzFunkGreats, and a whole heap of like minded competition.
I feel very privileged that my one man show pony of a blog of almost two years even came close. But it's not over yet! I still have a chance of being crowned the top music blog with the help of you. It's now down to the public to vote for their favorite blog so, I'm asking you to head over to Dazed Digital and cast your vote.
Hopefully I have left an impression on your hearts and minds with an independent, friendly, good looking and interesting blog to browse every now and then so you'll cast your vote for me. Sick Boy
Well I'm off for short break to the beach for the weekend which, could in fact be my only holiday of the summer. Great. In an attempt not to be disheartened by this fact I'm going to share this uplifting mixtape with you from Holland's Sick Boy.

Once seen as a silent cry of rebellion, tattoos now posess a status so firmly mainstream that advertisers are using them to market everything from tires and shoes to wine and energy drinks. That has its downside, though. The more acceptable tattoos become, the more they lose their edginess — and their value as advertising.
